Cryssanne & Sophie

Cryssanne and Sophie have been dancing at the same studio for years and have become great friends. I did Cryssanne’s senior pictures so she asked if I would photograph her and her friend in their dance outfits. We found a stage that was vacant for about 45 minutes, set up some lights and got some wonderful images.

Spring is Coming

Spring is coming. It is getting a little warmer and everyone in Wisconsin is getting the itch to get outside. After having a picnic lunch of PB & J with our granddaughter Isa, we took a little hike at Blue Mounds State Park. “Higher, higher” was the chant from the swing and then lots of laughter . . .

Bubbly Fun

Isa’s mom wanted some fun bath pictures so we filled up the tub with bubbles and shot away. It is so great how kids love to play in the water and make all kinds of shapes with bubbles. We had a lot of fun playing and Isa’s mom got the pictures she was looking for.

Prairie Fire’s Production of Sleeping Beauty

Every year the Optimist Club of Mount Horeb hires the Prairie Fire Theater Company from Minnesota to stage a play in the high school auditorium. Two directors arrive on a Monday and audition kids for approximately 80 parts in a children’s play. Rehearsals are held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and by Friday evening the kids put on a 90 minute play filled with music and laughter. They also perform on Saturday to a packed house of moms, dads, siblings, grand parents and family. It is a wonderful experience for the kids and all of us that get to enjoy their talents.
